Arik Air Fleet – As of 31 July 2019
Arik Air has a narrow-body fleet comprising 22 aircraft of an average of 12 years. These are made up of 13x Boeing 737 and 9x Bombardier aircraft, namely 4x CRJ and 1x Dash 8. The CRJ fleet recently underwent maintenance but are now back in operation, and 9 of the Boeings are currently grounded. In June 2019 Arik Air had placed orders for 8x Boeing 737 Max8 and 9x Boeing 787-9 which are no longer listed as of now. Arik Air Destinations
Between 2008 and 2014 Arik Air operated intercontinental flights to London-Heathrow, Johannesburg-O.R. Tambo, New York-JFK and Dubai International Airport. However, the company underwent new management in 2017, suspending all long-haul services. Dubbed ‘too big to fail’ Arik Air now operates regional and domestic flights in Nigeria and West Africa.
There are presently medium plans in the pipeline to resume Arik Air flights to New York and other international cities, but owing to complex outstanding debt with these countries, the process may be a lengthy one.

It has helped to build air traffic hubs in other West African airports, such as Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana where Arik Air flights arrive at regular intervals, departing directly to other cities throughout the day.
